Why Buy a Recommended Alternative?Help

What's a recommended alternative part?

A recommended alternative part is an item that can be crossed over from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part. They are also known as "aftermarket" or "replacement" products. These parts are usually less expensive than the OEM but meet or exceed OEM standards for quality and performance.

We stand behind the quality of the recommended alternative products we sell. If you the product you purchased did not properly replace your OEM part requirement, please let us know.

Description

Brand Briggs & Stratton
Old Part Number 5081
New Part Number 5081K
Condition New
  • Easy installation
  • Maintenance Minder is compatible with almost all kinds of small engines on lawn mowers, snowblowers, generators and more!

OPERATION
  • The 5 digit display shows the run time of the engine and is initially set to zero, 0.0
  • When the engine is started, the meter will record the run time in tenths of hours
  • If 6 minutes (1/10 hour) is run, 0.1 count will be displayed
  • The display will flash on and off for an hour when the recorded time is 25 hours or in the multiple of 25 hours, i.e.25, 50, 75, ect to indicate that maintenance is suggested for the engine
  • Press the RESET button with a pointed object to stop flashing at any time
  • When the count reaches 9999.9, it will automatically reset back to 0.0 for the next increment
  • The only limitation is the spark firing frequency must be greater than or equal to 10Hz. As most engines operate at 20 or 40 spark firings per second, compatibility is not a problem
