Where to Find the Model and Serial Number on a Sears Craftsman Push Mower
Trying to look up your Craftsman push mower, but you can't find the model and serial number? This guide will help. Here are a few common locations that you can find this information.
Most of the time, you can find the Craftsman model and serial number on the top of the mower. If you were standing behind it and using it, the identification tag would be on the top rear portion of the deck, between the wheels.
Similar to the previous, the model and spec numbers may be found on the back-top of the mower's deck for this Craftsman mower with a Briggs engine. You're looking for a sticker like in the picture above.
This one's going to be a little bit of a stretch to see. Look at the Briggs & Stratton engine from the front of the mower. You may have to kneel or sit down for this -- it's engraved onto the front of the engine. You'll need the model, type, and code information. Take a look at the above picture for reference. With your model, type, and code numbers, you can also check out our Briggs & Stratton parts lookup!
To look up Tecumseh, you need to have your model and spec numbers. On this Craftsman push mower with a Tecumseh, the model and spec are engraved the back of the engine. Stand behind the mower-- it should be near the spark plug. The above picture is for reference. Hope this helps!
You'll need the model and spec numbers to look up Tecumseh. Use our Tecumseh parts lookup for those.
