Don't practice safety by accident. Make sure your vehicle has additional lights, strobe lights, beacon, and even reflective tape. Just try to mimic your local county trucks.

What Kind of Battery Does My Snow Plow Need?

Making sure you have enough juice in your battery to cover both your truck and your snow plow is important. Always make sure you test and re-test your equipment before a big storm to make sure everything is working correctly. It's also a good idea to test your equipment in sub-zero temperatures whenever possible so when that big storm comes, you'll be ready!

According to numerous Meyer® service manuals, it is recommended that your truck be equipped with:

  • Battery - 70 Amp Hour Minimum or 550 Cold Cranking Amps
  • Alternator - 60 Amp Minimum
